Title: Coes monkey wrench
Post by: john k on May 22, 2012, 12:40:56 AM
This is the iron handled Coes monkey wrench I recently found, is 13 inches long.  The opposite side says Billings.   The Coes name is usually in tiny stamped letters.  This script really surprised me.  How many have one?

I think Billings bought out Coes and they started stamping both sides.  I don't have one but have passed on a few at the flea.

I commented on this in another post.

This is from the era right after Billings purchased Coes and they double marked them due to the Coes reputation.

I have one just like it in very good condition. All metal handle, with the Billings "B in a triangle" logo right in the middle on each side.
