Title: My first HD Smith Perfect Handle wrench
Post by: stanley62 on May 28, 2012, 12:43:05 PM
I got my first HD Smith Perfect Handle wrench.  Pretty cool wrench (at least to me!), but it looks like pin that holds jaws has been replaced with a nail??
Oh well, a little light clean up and on the peg board it goes.

Outstanding!!! Never saw that pattern.

Lots of adjustables used the same size/thread pins. Something to round up beaters over.
I know you can do better than a nail. 8^)

Looks like that nail you photoed is going thru the adjuster. If that is right I'll keep eye open.

Yep,  Goes thru the adjuster.  I just got my prices realized from the MVWC spring auction and a similar wrench brought good money!  I think I'm a littler prouder of this wrench now, then when I first picked it up.

Would a Crescent wrench pin fit?

It might.  I need to get the pin out that is in there and do a little investigating.
