Looks similar to a WF era Plomb, but I don't think it is. Only mark on a part no 3202R. Any ideas who made it?

Ditto, the 'R' is for the reversable model, look for a patent number under the reverse lever..

Les,
Vintage Chineese WWI Ratchet USN - 1D ESM 5 No. 3202-R.

The ratchet has Part No. 1902878 under the selector lever.
Anyone know how this thing comes apart? No screws. It appears that the peg that goes thru the selector will press out, but I am not sure it is intended to. I wouldn't take it apart, but it is very "gummy" feeling.

That is a Duro/Indestro 3202-R. They don't come apart. The face plate is pressed in at the factory.
To clean mine, I used plenty of liquid wrench and carb cleaner down the little lube hole while turning the gear with an extension. It will flush out most of the nasties in there through the space on the other plate where the ratchet turns. After the carb cleaner started coming out pretty clean, I used a large hypodermic needle to to inject superlube through the hole to lube up the works. Awesome ratchet, works great.

That 1902878 is the patent no which includes pressed in plates.

I soak them in acetone. Spin the gear. Maybe spray brake cleaner with a straw through the hole. Then soak it in a AYF/acetone mix.
As others have said, that style does not come apart. It was an inexpensive method to make a ratchet.

My 3202R Indestro ratchets fine. Its problem is the reversing lever is so loose on the squared stem that it threatens to be lost off. How do I secure it?
