Post by: HeelSpur on June 12, 2012, 12:32:15 PM
Found this in some stuff I was going thru this morning.
It has 6018 on it & Oct. 22, 1918.

Walden Worcester was a common name in tools before WWII.   I have a set of these I've accumulated.   Speeder handles, Tee handles, breaker bars, Tee with flex head.  Not the greatest metalurgy, as most of what I have shows signs of being bent, and many are cracked.   An interesting piece of the time before interchangeable sockets.  Some were plain steel, but many seem to have been nickel plated.

Often used for a single job along an assembly line, or in a repetitive task on large equipment.

Your wrench is listed in three different places in my undated (after 1927 as it has Ford Model A tools) Walden-Worcester catalog: with rest of their speed wrenches, with Ford Model T tools and with Ford Model A tools.

I include part of the Dodge tool list for Tool Talk  member 1930.
