Title: Firestone DOE

Got a few nice wrenches at the flea market this morning.
Bought this one just because I had never seen or heard of Firestone wrenches.
DOE 11/16 large end 19/32 small end.

During the depression, the 1930s, Firestone was one of many that opened stores.   Bicycles, tools, fishing gear, camping equipment.  I have seen a whole set of these belonging to the father of a friend.   Goodyear did something similar, I have a 20inch Goodyear bike from the 1940s.  Along the same vein,  Ford Motor Co.  having large tracts of timberland up North, and were building cars using less and less wood, started making charcoal briquets.  Ford dealers offered small tin folding barbecues for travelers/campers.  Have seen one still in the Ford box.

Does anyone remember what year the country of origin marking was mandated?
