Hi Gang! anyone who makes, restores or has violinmaking tools and wants to chat/sell/trade, just let me know...
Wow, now there is a talent which would intimidate me to even THINK about doing! Good for you.
Hi and welcome from Alberta. I would enjoy some pictures of your tools.
Welcome to Tool Talk!
Luthiers have some special wood working tools, let's see some?
Howdy and welcome from Arkansas. I would also enjoy seeing some of these tools.
Hello from North Carolina. I am very interested in seeing luthier tooling. Hope you enjoy the forum.
Welcome indeed. And we do like pictures here. I could use some information on dealing with very obstinate button shellac. My old flakes aren't dissolving well at all, and I'm not having much luck with the new buttons I picked up either. Used to be the easiest thing ever, but I seem to have attracted an infestation of shellac gremlins.
Lynn Dowd of Dowdstools has a luthier group demonstrating at his sales quite often.
Wow, impressive stuff. Welcome aboard.
Just to show you how ignorant I am...I thought "Luthier" was a guy by the first name "Lex" who was always causing trouble for Superman!
Violins seem WAY too difficult for a poor ol' car-collectin' tool lover like me. I'm looking forward to your posts with photos.
Welcome aboard
