Title: Ampco ratchet
Post by: rusty on July 01, 2012, 02:04:14 PM
other interesting flea find, pretty alumnium bronze Ampco ratchet, looks a little different than the currently available ones, but you can still get these if you have a few hundred to toss...

(Set with non magnetic sockets and bar goes in the neighborhood of $700+)

Funny that someone still makes a push-through-to-reverse ratchet these days....

(Very coarse ratchet, clicks 12 times in 360 degrees)

Good find. Don't know what it is about that non-sparking stuff but I can't pass it up. Don't need it;will never use it but it looks good on the basement wall and it won't start a fire.

I have one of their adjustable wrenches. Many years ago i had a set of British Standard aluminum / bronze sockets. Now i wish i had kept them.
