Title: Six-Pak of Williams Face Spanners
Post by: Wrenchmensch on July 07, 2012, 02:04:52 PM
I picked these up some time ago at a local flea market.  The spanners are 4 5/8" long and are embossed with the "W in a diamond" Williams logo. The number "418 is embossed above the Williams logo. The wrapping wire is 14 ga. copper. These were probably shipped from Williams just as they appear now.

I don't who used them, or why.

I think I've seen more Williams specialty wrenches for machines and machines tools than any other make.  It would be a shame to take that set apart at this point.   Just be nice to know what they went to?   I have a Williams single open end wrench, 1-7/8, is stamped right over the Williams,,, GEAR CUTTER.   That is an interesting group.
