Title: Neat vintage hand drill
Post by: bonneyman on August 15, 2012, 11:54:27 PM
Found this hand drill at a rummage sale last week. Paid 25 cents!
Apparently used on airplanes during the great war for drilling in real tight areas. I could use a handle if someone has it lying around.

looks like you could use a garden tool swivel handle or a small hot stick tool.  bob w.

I believe Jomac Manufacturing made those things.  I had one that was marked Proto but like a dummy I sold it a few years back.  Now I wish I had it.  I don't believe they are real common.  That is only the second one I've seen.  Their is a patent I believe for it.

Actually it was Jo Manufacturing Co.  Datamp link below.

I also had one about 10 years ago. Mine had a semi clear purple handle made of plastic. I believe mine was smaller than yours. I don't remember the maker.
