You guys can BLAME athol tool works for bringing me here. I belong to other forums but check here first every day . bob w.
I stumbled on TT while researching something or other many years ago - long before this "re-launched" version was needed!
I was the 54th member of the original TT and TT was actually the first forum I joined; before Garage Journal (which used to be MUCH better), the now-defunct Garage Hangout, and the replacement Garage Gazette.
I now spend most of my time here & at GG.
Way back when I used to read Mark KW's tool board which was interesting. That may have been called ToolSource at one time too. But it was an older-style forum and they were hard to read, so when GJ started to grow (it was new back then) and had a nicer format, I switched.
I've also read and/or been a member of Practical Machinist, Yesterday's Tractor, Craftsman Tooltalk, Collecting Snap-on and probably others...
I stumbled across TT when researching Stiletto tools and Hamilton Baker hardware company. Read the page on HB and registered immediately. That was just before the blowup.
I was referred by my father (jimwrench). Glad I was. This is a great site with a lot of helpful and well informed people.

Papaw,
Just a suggestion-- you might want to dupe this thread/survey in the Welcome Forum to find out more about the newbies and how they found their way here.
I don't remember.

You all have Bus to blame for the rearing of my ugly head
I just voted, but I'm pretty sure I was researching a tool of some sort. Since I can't go back and find my very first post on the old site, I guess i could make something up. I occasionally visit the others, but I MAKE TIME for this one..... BTW, I did finally get some photos into the new hard drive and now to figure out which stting for the re-sizing and I'm off and running. I'll get those AA photos out thee eventually.
Now, back to figuring out all the whistles and bells of Windows 7(and the Windows 8 upgrade coming in October that we can get for an additional $15)
