Title: Can you date this Herbrand Ratchet

I tried to find some info on this " Deco" look Herbrand J10 ratchet , but couldn't date it.
Has a late 30's look , but I'm guessing 50's?
It works good , unusual reversing button.

Late 1940s...

They used the same model number earlier, but the model was very different.
