Title: Bet'r Grip Codes Info
Post by: HeelSpur on September 13, 2012, 08:13:39 AM
Where can I find the codes for these wrenchs?
Checked Alloyartifacts and saw the few on J.P. Danielson,
but not the one that I have. Mine says U-10-S (I believe).

It is a 6" wrench. Thanks..

I always snag the Bet'r grip adjustables when I come across them. I see a broached handle hole - I grab it! The shank profile really fits the hand well.

>U-10-S (I believe).

Probably U-10-5

The 5 is the last digit of the year..(The U is the month)
We need to guess the decade, it's not part of the date code,

Bet'r Grip starts in 1933.
Broached hang hole runs 1930's to 1947

Unfortunatly, that leaves the decade ambiguous, so either 1935, or 1945....

The typeface would probably lean toward the later date tho...
