Don't get your hopes up. I stopped at Liberty Tool and Fairfield Antiques and found nothing to buy. Stuff was priced at tourist levels, e.g. too high for this traveler. I did linger awhile in Fairfield over an $18 Plomb breaker bar, but passed on it.
I finally found the little Stix-On in a favorite well-organized jumble shop. The Stix-On is noteworthy because it has the bad patent date (Aug. 20 '18) stamped on it.
I found the 12-inch Basford Gripso-Matic in an antique shop we visited 4 years ago. Push both buttons down to release the Gripso-Matic wrench's jaw. The later patented wrench connected the two buttons with a U-shape strap, which made it easier to release the jaw (by pushing down on the top of the U).

Was in Liberty in July, stuff was pretty well picked over, but I did get a Cheney nail holding hammer head for $5.00. Will have to put a handle in it.
Did you go to Frapoli's Place that is just down the street from the Tool Works? Nice little shop with fairly reasonable prices.

Mike:
No, I didn't see Frapolis's Place. Next time I'm in Liberty I'll look for it. Thanks for the tip.
