Title: A little different way of doing things
Post by: Lostmind on September 18, 2012, 06:23:18 PM
The tubing cutter is called a self feed, patent oct 16,1934.
Kenerson Tool Co., Saugus Mass.
The obstuction hack saw is a Craftsman , number 9 35481, haven't found out the year yet. Has a nice feel to it.

That Craftsman saw is the best ever made for specific cuts - shallow cuts in hard to reach spots.  It's not my only awkward-spot hacksaw, but I'd never want to be without it.

I have had an obstruction hacksaw in my box for,, uh,, decades.   When you need it, you really need it.  Now that tubing cutter, at first glance, looks like a stretched  and modified beer can opener, not sure I'd give it a second glance.   But darn, it has a neat simple design, why did they make them complicated?
