Did this style come in a set?
This is the only size I've ever found. Special application?

Lost,
Yes, it came in a set (auto kit wrenches). They're nice wrenches, unusual (not combo wrenches... they're open/box end wrenches with a different size on both ends) and they are usually fairly priced. YMMV

I don't think that one was part of a standard set. Didn't they have a tapered pin that held the set together and a knurled nut on the pin? Some of them had a wing nut that held the set together also. This one doesn't have a hole for the pin, unless some of the came with a wire clip that held the set together.

I have wrenches like this with the hole and without the hole.
I think a lot of it depends on manufacturer.

I have this stamped steel set that has the different sizes and the hole
it's odd that I've only seen that 5/8 X 3/4 Barcalo in that style and size

Here's a 7/16 x 3/8 by Barcalo, with the hole.
I'll have to dig out the others I have later on.
