Title: 3 "S" Wrenches Stamped MBF
Post by: MysteriousGT on October 18, 2012, 03:47:53 PM
Just got back Home from a Meeting with Someone trying to Sell some Old Tools, Needless to Say i dont want to post them all because there would be Bandwidth Issues...But I Found these 3 to Be Interesting!

They Came From a Collector/American Airlines Mechanics Personal Collection!

2 of them are Bemis & Call - 8" & 14"

1 of them is a Westcott

all 3 of them are Stamped "MBF"...anyone Know what that Might Signify?

Thanks in Advance

They look like owners marks to me.

Stamps were used before electric engravers became available (and after)

Agreed- owner's marks to deter theft.

Perhaps they were liberated from the Mercedes Benz Factory ;P

Likely not tho..

Sometimes the stamped marks are for a company or factory that owned the tools, sometimes they are just some poor schmuck's initials.....
