Not Gold? Okay, it is Beryllium, non sparking metal tools. Look up how toxic this stuff is when powdered! Yikes. I have seen a wrench, on occasion, but here is a whole set of half inch sockets, in a non sparking brass box. I would have bought it if there was room on my wall, tool box, work bench, or floor. I think it will be a long time before I see another set of these, yes?

If you saw what a set of non sparking sockets cost, you might think gold was a better deal ;P

I have never encountered these for sale anywhere, new. What is a ball park figure for these fine items?

After looking for tools made from Beryllium Copper I did find this company who sell such tools, a set of 1/2" sockets run around (are you setting down) $1700, here is the link. http://www.ngkmetals.com/index.cfm/m/59/fuseaction/store6Catalog.oneCategory/Sockets

Years ago I had a set that i bought at a garage sale. The sockets were in a cigar box with a price of $2.00 for about a dozen sockets. I thought what a killer deal. Got home and discovered they were Whitworth sized. Sold them on eBay for about $10.00 and thought i made a killing.
