Ike left us without power for 14 days. We just camped out for the duration. I went to work after 3 days.

Good to hear you survived the storm. Been wondering when you would check in.

Good to hear, but do you still have a roof?

Bob, thanks for letting us know you made it through!  We're waiting to hear from my wife's father in Hoboken.  I guess eastern New Jersey took quite a beating.

Glad to hear you're safe.
Sandy played havoc here and Lake Erie is a long way from the east coast.  Hundreds of trees down, wide spread flooding and power outages.  They are saying many won't have power restored until next Monday.  I can't imagine the damage farther east.

Lost power, phone and cable Monday evening, just got phone back today but it is hit and miss as to when it is working. I'm on dialup, the only way to get out online. No damage to the garage or house. Getting gass for the generator is a cha;;ange but we are getting by better then some.

Work was out of power for 3 days but the mail server and internet is still out there.

I'm also glad to see that most everybody on the forum is okay.  I'm also hooping those affected by the storm are somehow able to vote Tuesday.  I don't care which way you lean politically, but DO exercise one of your Constitutional Rights.  For those that have already voted, thank you!!!

I second this.  If you don't vote, you lose griping rights (if nothing else).
