I'm not anywhere near Missour-ah.  My immediate reaction is, "What the heck kind of homesteader is this, that he's getting rid of tools and stuff before he knows what he's got?"

Maybe I'm being unkind, though; maybe he desperately needs the room.  Or comes from a family that already equipped him completely.

Sounds like someone's going to come out ahead on this one.

my guess is you would have to sift thru a lot of junk to get a gem, but there may be jems in there.

as I get older I get far less of a hard on for rusty metal.
