I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving. Take care not to eat too much!
I will make Thanksgiving at a sister-in-law's house this afternoon, but will be going into the hospital Thursday night or Friday morning.
I am suffering from very poor circulation due to atrial fibrillation on top of sleep apnea that has left me gasping for breath on even mild exertion.
They will do some tests to see what needs to be done to solve my problems
I will have my laptop and will monitor Tool Talk and set up the Secret Santa parings.
My best wishes to you as figure out your health issues. I hope it is a short journey for you. Happy Thanksgiving! Reach out to me if you need a Secret Santa Helper (or anything else).
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, Noel.
Take care of those health issues....issues like those can be very serious indicators of bigger problems. Make sure you see a good heart doctor. We need you here with all of us tool junkies!! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!
Best wishes, hope things go well at the hospital.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too Papaw. Eating here at home, sun is shining, the ground is brown for a change. Keep us posted, cause we'll be thinking about you.
Here's to a short stay and great results, Papaw.
Happy Thanksgiving To ALL of you. :)
Happy Turkey day to everyone :)
Papaw I hope you get better.

Happy Thanksgiving to all & to all a good night...
Praying for your health to improve quickly.
Wishing you well, Papaw. In spite of the sleep apnea, please keep sucking in air! It is important!
Happy Thanksgiving....
Papaw you take care of your self and get well soon...
I've been poked and prodded, stuck with needles, scanned with rays of some kind or another, and now waiting for results which won't show up until tomorrow.
I have gotten several hours of good sleep since this morning, but as you know the hospital MUST come wake you up if you are resting too well!
All of our best wishes to you, for a speedy return to the tool shed !!
Take care, Brian L.
So far, problems seem minor and correctable, but will not know much until Monday afternoon. Guess I'll be here until Tuesday. Glad my insurance is good.
Minor and correctable sounds good, lets keep it that way. Good to hear from you,was beginning to wonder.
Home for one night, now tonight I will do a sleep study at a sleep clinic. Results of this test will tell whether I need a second night of sleep study, and what I have to look forward to as far as inhalers or sleep machines.
Thinking of you, glad they are making progess, hang in there.
Graeme
Have a good friend that is a med-tech at a sleep clinic, but fortunately never had to be under her services. Just being home sounds real good to me.
Papaw, I have been sleeping with Breathe Right Strips for the last few months. It did great things for me. I don't want a CPAP schnorkus in my nose.
The sleep study was quite an experience! 26 or 27 sensors hooked up along with oxygen for the first 1 1/2 hours of sleep. Then a mask covering the nose connected to the CPAP machine for a couple of hours.
That wasn't so bad except that they wanted me to sleep on my back only. That makes my mouth open and disrupts the air flow, so they put a rubber strap on my chin to stop my mouth from opening. Not a good feeling at all. Slept fitfully for an hour.
Then they put on a full mask covering the nose and mouth with elastic straps to hold the whole set up on my head, and pumped up the volume of air. I guess the next 2 hours was better sleep, but the awareness of the mask and air was really bothersome.
I hope the doctor doesn't decide I need this thing! I'd rather try inhalers first.
