I have a GM18 wrench that I think is an orphan. There is one on e-bay listed as a carriage wrench and since you can't lie on the internet I suppose thats what it is. Somehow I still have doubts.

Are the openings by any chance 1/4,3/8,1/2 ?
Thinking more along the lines of a set screw wrench....

openings are drafted. sizes 3/8-7/16;9/16-5/8;11/16-3/4. openings have sharp corners. outside of wrench has rounded corners and parting line at midpoint of wrench.

One of the wrenching news auctions lists:
(3.) GM18 (grist mill) - - 4.25".
No photo tho.....hmm

Perhaps Bus knows what that refers to.....

Rathbone Volume One page 192 shows this wrench along with a manufacturer's tag labeled "Hand Grist Mill". Someone found the tag and wrench wired to a grist mill. We can only assume that the wrench originally came with the grist mill.

Whoops missed that page. Just went thru Rathbone looking for another wrench and didn't see that page. Didn't see it in supplement and didn't go page by page looking for the GM18.
