If you wire brush the sides of the top jaw and the bar below the bottom jaw carriage, you will probably find the company marks. There were millions of those wrenches made by many different makers, but most of them were made by a handful of companies.

Not a marking visible yet, but if you were to start polishing the sides of the head, the upper part, you may find the name Smith, and Coes patent. Had wooden scales on the handle. Replacing them isn't as hard as one thinks.

Sorry can't help outside what's been stated. If you want to start gentle use a copper abrasive pad (hand power). Nice project wrench!
