Craftsman damaged screw bits, I just used one to get out a stripped phillups screw. Now I know why i bought them years ago / they are terrific .just reverse your drill and slowly back out the screw. kit no.52154 bob w.

I had to remove some hinge screws from a very expensive entry door at a Doctor's house. The phillips recesses were more round than crossed lines. Went to Sears and got that same set & was able to remove all of them. Money well spent. I thought I was going to have to drill all of them out.

I have that set but I seem to grab the left handed drill bits and have the job done before I think about them.

I have a set like pictured except in a Red case. Agreed on money well spent, as are the stripped bolt removers.

>Doctor's house
Guessing he tried to fix them himself at some point...
Doctors are the best, they spend years at school learning very specific ways to do very specific things to very specific objects...and I swear it crowds all the common sense out of their heads...
We had one that wanted a hole in his windw for a bird feeder.
So he did the "It takes a Thief" thing and made a nice round circle on the glass with a glass cutter, and then wacked it with a hammer.
Too bad it was safety glass.....
We installed the new glass the next day....
