u do know good knowledgable help is hard to find nowadays, thats why u gotta go to college......... right?

These kinds of mistakes have been my pet peeve for years. They can be funny when seen, but I can't understand how a newspaper or tv channel can let them by. Don't they have proofreaders or continuity checkers these days?
By the way- let's try to keep this topic from becoming political.

Funny; I never knew he was bald. That always looked like his real hair, not a toupee. Must have been a side effect from all those drugs he took.

I think his RUG was pulled from under him.

I don't understand sports at all.
Of course Armstrong took drugs! All serious athletes take them. They have since the 30's, at least.
The guy who snitched him off admitted to taking as much as anybody. Every rider he was competing against took them too.
Its been a game about what can be tested for, for a long time now. When they change the testing, they make new drugs. Pretending athletes don't take drugs and making a big righteous indignation show about it is just lame. Its just a show they put on for the chumps.
Typos though?
I expect CBC has a whole team of proofreaders. Its customary for everyone involved in any media to proof everything. From the publisher to the janitor, everybody.
And still there is no way they don't get though, all the time.
Proofreading is simply an impossible task for humans to undertake. Spell checking software helps, but
they are going to get though. And often its in the most embarrassingly possible of places!
Fortunately most people just read right past and never notice.
Once in a while something catches your eye just right. But mostly it just rolls past.
