The perfect style screwdriver is marked USA and "5". Slightly bent, but easily fixed. Handles are in good shape, will need slight tightening. The junction between shank and handle is forged in a hexagon profile. Maybe to add a wrench for torque??

Is the wooden handled gun marked model 7-C, I think I am looking for an A and a C. C being the longest

Looks like a good bunch of treasures there keykeeper. Naive question though; why on the Mossberg wrench do you suppose the one "head" is so much larger than the other, even though the wrench openings look to be about the same size?
Yes, they are close.....5/8 and 11/16.
I would say it is because they may have used the same blanks for more than one size combination, allowing more "meat" to work with. The openings look to be milled in, there is a little "step" at the bottom of the flat cuts.

No problem, if you do want to part with it I prefer a no clean deal, if you look under a light they should be pretty pronounced letters, I am pretty darn sure its a 7-C comparing its length to the hacksaw. I have a 7-B and that is a nice size to have.

It's a 7-B. Guess it's of no use to you.
But I gotta ask, why not clean it up? It's so black with age-old grease, I don't see where that matters much. The grease is hardened, nasty, and downright detracts from the gun, in my opinion.

Just a WAG (Wild-A$$-Guess) on my part. I surmise that the blanks were stamped out, then sizes milled, then the shanks stamped with the size, stock numbering and trademark info.
Someone will be along shortly to correct my assumption, I'm sure. Wrenches really aren't my forte, I just like them.

I am not even sure what your plan are with it but if you were willing to part with it I prefer to clean things up my way which might be different than yours, that is all.
Anyway I was wrong in that I have the 7-B and the 7-C I guess I am lacking the 7-A to complete my collection.
I can get one on e-bay but the buy it now prices are higher than I am willing to pay and am only looking for one casually.
I was mistaken in that the 7-C is the short one, 7-B is longer, I guess I do not remember if the A is longer or shorter still.
I really like these guns because of the combination of wood and metal. I would still be interested in your gun but you would do better on e-bay for a price if that is what you are after. Either way thanks

????? Did I miss something? I never said anything about putting this grease gun on eBay. I was just curious about cleaning versus not cleaning. I know what they are worth on there, I was going to part out my collection of them at one time, BUT decided not to.

Aaron you maybe should try harder to understand that people on these forums come from all walks of life and none has the same background/ubringing therefore you should not expect everyone to phrase things exactly how you think they should be phrased.
I myself have learned that unless someone is coming right out and blatantly insulting that I should try and give them the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best, probably what they said that bothered me was not too personally/intentionally hurt me.

Aaron, I only brought up e-bay prices because many of the tool talk members seem to buy and sell on e-bay, they seem to buy stuff just to sell it on e-bay, quite the contrary to what you were thinking of me I was suggesting that maybe you were not aware of how much they have sometimes sold on e-bay for, I was attempting to do just the opposite of what many people would do in first notify you ( assuming you were not already aware ) that if you were to attempt to sell it on e-bay than you would almost certainly get more money for it going that route.
