Hi Guys, it's been a while since I did a blow torch update, here's a quick one.
The Unique Mfg. Co.
Based in Chicago IL, they were know mainly for flat round red painted one pint flat auto torches. However the Unique product had several conventional type torches and a line of furnaces. Most date from around 1947.
Here's a Unique flat tank I own.

This one is owned by Brophy, I hope you don't mine me using your picture.

I would love to add that torch to my collection Brophy, let me know if you ever want to sell it.
Unique only made around seven models of torches, most being the flat tank auto torches.

Them look wicked-cool Batz. So how do they work? Fill the tank with white gas and then hand pump to pressure like a coleman lantern?
Yes just the same, fill the priming cup with gas and fire it up first to heat it. Then open the value and away you go.

What is the priming cup? Is that the cup underneath the torch head? I never understood how these operated. Kind of glad I never tried to use one I would have probably set myself on fire. I do have a few that I collected just for the looks of the brass tanks.
