Can anyone give me any info on this vise? I picked it up for $20 this weekend. I'm not sure how old it is. What do the numbers mean in the 2nd pic?

For $20? Was the seller blind? Look at this closely, decently cast steel, good original red paint, MADE IN USA. Five and a half inch jaws. Now look at the offerings down to Harbour Fright. The paint covers bondo that they use to smooth over grainy rough castings. Now look up a new price for a similar vise, I think you will find the dollar amount the same as what I burn in gas in a month! The numbers are obviously part numbers, body and jaw. It isn't monstrously heavy as a Columbian from the 20s, but it's a very good hobby vise. Age, am guessing, mid 60s to late 70s. You did very well. Congrats.
Thanks for the reply. You are correct, not real heavy, weighs 38lbs
