"For humanity and civilization" was the Army-Navy Insignia logo back in 1917+-

So I assume that is poor Lady Liberty dressed funny ;P

Nice info.  Didn't someone on here have one of the Williams boards?  Or possibly link to one?

I think it was nola tool guy that found the Williams board?   Sorry if I am wrong.   Lady Liberty was usually portrayed as sitting, but during the first World War, she is armed, and also holding a shield.  Lots of symbolism back then, notice that looks like a naval officers sword, not the heavy Roman type sword she was often portrayed with.   I like the old quarters and halves that portray a Standing Liberty.

What's the source for the image of the Mossberg No. 49 Socket Wrench Set with ratchet brace?  Is is something that can be retrieved using google books?  If so, I could add it to an upcoming MVWC newsletter.

The source is my periodicals, that one specifically dated 1917 and you can do what you wish with it.
