Papaw,
When I was growing up in the 1950's and 1960's my parents had one of these nested knurled brass screwdriver sets. The outermost part of the nest was a smallish claw-hammer. All the screwdrivers nested into the brass knurled hammer handle.
I don't know if all of these nested sets included the hammer. But, it might be worth your while to keep your eyes open for a brass handled hammer. You'll know it when you see it... it will be about 25%-35% bigger than the biggest driver, and there will be a screw-on plug in the base of the hammer handle.
Happy hunting... and congratulations on your screwdriver score.

I have one of the sets with a hammer, but this one doesn't appear to be made for one.

I have one around here someplace with a ball peen hammer bob w.

I have had two with the ball peen hammer , passed them on to collectors.
The one papaw got did not come with a hammer, I have had several of the type without hammer.
By the way , I have seen made in china ones with the hammer , no doubt where they came from.
Quite inferior to the original.
