This set was dirty, but complete and $2. It was made by Handle Lock Wrench Co. (HL) of Jamestown, NY. HL did not put sizes on their sockets, which I guess was OK for most users.
The stamp says "Pat. Pending".

Very unusual set. Isn't Jamestown NY the home of Crescent?
-
Yes, it is so marked on a lot of the Crescents in my collection.
-
But note the New britain Machine Co's No 177 socket set.....

'Tis, and the J.P. Danielson Tool Co. too...

Indeed, though New Britain seems to have been using a patent that had been issued to H.H. Chase of Jamestown, NY in 1922. I'd hazard a guess that Chase may have tried to market the tool himself via the Handle Lock Wrench Co. before giving up and permitting NB to have a go?
The Handle Lock Wrench Co. offered a brace-style speeder too...

Bears a strong resemblance to a set I have that I always considered to be Indestro/Duro. No markings on the carrier or the driver, and only sizes on the sockets.

Papaw, look for a very small, faint patent number on the bottom, middle..

Nothing.

C'mon guys, Indestro stamped its corporate name and location on the bottom of the cases, and their cases were painted green.
As for Jamestown, NY, not only Danielson, but Hjorth made wrenches there.

I have this Indestro set that is in a green case, but has no marks on the case other than the Indestro sticker. There are also no marks on the contents other than the sizes.

I'm looking for similar hex drive socket sets mfg by Currier Koeth or Graham roller brg Co. of Coudersport, PA under the CURKO brand. Don't know markings but BRG has patents on same. Chuck Garrett, chasgar@sbcglobal.net
