The "U" shaped hard steel piece with the teeth on the "fixed" jaw is frequently broken or missing entirely with this wrench.

They still make 'em (believe it or not) and call them One Hand Wrenches...

I just picked 1 up today at 2nd hand shop. mine ain't marked as good as urs and i was going to start a thread about its id.  mine isin good shape but missing the 2nd "e" in the word reed.  what size is mine?  thanks 4 looking.
