Gang,
Recently picked up a clutch of Heyco 1/2" drive chromed/knurled 6pt sockets (10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 14mm, and 17mm) and a removable drive lug. These are marked W. Germany so the could have been made anywhere from 1949 to 1989; they are fairly modern looking so I suspect they were more likely made somewhere between 1970 and 1989. They are all marked with 50-6 number. These are the first Heyco sockets I've seen in the wild in my Slice-O-Texas, and to my way of thinking, are pretty handsome.
Here's a few photo's:

Does anyone else have any of these? Does anyone have any information relating to Heyco, it's tools, and it's sockets in particular? Does anyone know what Heyco ratchet might have come with this set?

I have never been one to get excited over sockets. I do have much more appreciation for 6 point sockets over 12 point; except for the rare 12 point fasteners on connecting rods, or old Willys jeep u bolts.
That being said the knurling on them makes them more useful and more “attractive”.

No.2,
Thank you sir. That's some pretty precise information there, and quite useful.

humber2,
Thanks for the link to samstagsales. I completely forgot about that site.
Looking over this site I can see that the sockets I have are much earlier than what is shown, perhaps by serveral decades. It also looks like the ratchets have not changed much over the last 40 or 50 years. So, I should be able to find a 1/2" drive ratchet that will go nicely with my sockets.
Thanks again for the help...
