Title: Smart screwdriver?
Post by: fflintstone on July 24, 2013, 01:38:15 PM

Smart screwdriver?
Well beyond the scope of this tool forum, but it seems to me it is a product searching for a market. Unless I am screwing into plastic, I screw all screws "tight" unless you are doing fine parts for aerospace or high end electronics; I see no need for this.
Only accurate to +- 6%

But we are talking Wiha here, makers of super precise German fanatic tools...

Probably to satisfy some German automaker spec for the screw torque for the screws holding the windshield visor on or something ;P

Anybody else here tired of "smart" things?  The worst I've heard about is a "smart" fork -- it tells you how fast you are eating.

That's neat.

At work we just recently bought a snap on tqs1fua and a qts135 If we knew of this maybe we would of considerd it. There great for precise electronics an solar controllers.
