Title: Ideal Wrench Co. Brace Wrench

Here is one of the oddest wrenches I've ever laid eyes on. At first, it made no sense. Then I got to playing with it, and figured out how it has an advantage. In a tight spot, you turn the small crank handle to position the socket to fit over the nut. It could also advance the nut up to the point where you really need to apply torque, at which point you use the brace feature. What'll they think of next?!

Makes me wonder how many bottles of whisky someone went thru figuring that out in their head.

As machinery, steam engines became more complex, a monkey wrench just didn't cut it anymore.   There are actually a good many brace drills made similar to this, sort of an eggbeater attached to the business end.  Neat, but sure didn't catch on.

A decade ago I was tracking prices realized at the York auctions, some eBay lots, etc.  Three examples of the IDEAL brace wrench back then brought $28.00, $50.00 & $60.00 respectively.   I  know more examples have sold since then but I don't have a quick way to retrieve those more recent prices realized.
