Title: The New Pawn Shop In Town!!!
Post by: dimwittedmoose51 on August 29, 2013, 09:53:29 PM
Blackhawk County is now down to 3 National Chain Pawn shops(2 are from the same Co.) and two small operations.  The "established" one has had the same set of overpriced MAC and Snap on toolss in his display case now for over 4 years, but the new guy in town hasn't cquired much inventory yet, but what he had for hand tools was pretty impressive.  I grabbed everything I wanted and went to the cah register and we wanted $50 for it all.  Rather than dicker, I figured what I had was worth well more than the $50 he wanted, so maybe next time I'll get to eat into the asking price.  A lot of this haul is going in the collection, especially the larger SK wrenchs, the Bonneys  and the old SO's. Prolly peddle the SK rats though, I have quite a few now.  The guy seemed pleasant and eager to do business, which is rare these days in the "industry".....
