can some one help me figure out what this is thank you      it all so has byc stamped on them

I wish it was that but it has like a little sizzor action to it I can try to get a video of it working if that might help

I have seen similar items, I can't tell from the pictures but I assume the leather strap holds it in your hand. I think we have also discussed this or similar items here before. I think it is a knot tying device used in the textile industries by loom operators.

Les may be on the right track, but my first thought was a knotter from an early hay baler. Either way, it sure looks like it ties a knot.

Well Les you were right it is a knotter for weaving it was made in the late 1800s or early 1900s.I thank you for the lead on this.
