Title: How do you search for a patent?

I'm talking about newer stuff, not just old tools. I have a few ideas floating around in my head that could sell, but most of them are so simple I can't believe I am the first guy to think of them. But on the other hand, I've been doing what I do for 30 years and I've never seen them.
