A real close look at this ratchet looks like a fraud

I'm not seeing it. I guess you need to spell it out for me.
-
How so?
-
Craftsman looks like it was hand written.
-
I don't see it, Bob.
-
The " Craftsman" script looks weird , but I never saw one of those up close.
Has to be worth $1.25.
-
Good luck on winning that one. I bid $1.55 and was outbid by an automatic bid. I then bid $6.00, and was outbid again by an automatic bid.
That's as far as I'll go.
-
Here's a set of 1/2" - 3/8" - 1/4" ratchets. Craftsman to be true. Probably made in the 80's with no COO.

If the ratchet is something of your interest I could most likely help you out. I think I have at least the 3/8" and 1/4" drive. Will need to verify.

I don't need one. I bid just to see what was going to happen. I am always wary of early automatic bids- to me it stinks of shill bidders.

10-4
That's my guess as well. I have a 1/4" Tri-Wing as well as a 2002 Husky. Same guts, made by Stanley.
