General Discussion / Help with Craftsman staplegun
« Last post by amecks on May 03, 2025, 07:32:40 PM »
Hi. I was using this Craftsman staplegun today and used up all the 3/8" staples.  I finished the job but would like to get some more staples.  I'm having trouble finding staples - the part number of the gun and the part number of the staples aren't helping me.  I'm not getting results that I can trust from my online searches.

It's an older Craftsman staplegun, the black one with the red vinyl coated lever that you pull up to handle (not push down).  It works really well. I've identified the gun as part number 9KT6847.  I believe the staples I was using were Sears 2 74403,  3/8 long and 1/2 width.

Any advice on finding staples that will work?

Thanks
Al

First post… This is the last wrench I need to complete an early Blackhawk board for Ford Model As. Blackhawk 4003. Been on the hunt for several years. Attachments show the board and tool. Any insight is welcome too. Thanks!

Thank you very much. The picture is perfect.  I wonder how long this design was manufactured.

Could anyone help me identify this one please ?
It's 10 1/4" long.
I'm in the UK, but it could well be imported.
There are some markings in the casting, but I'm struggling to make them out.
On one side, my best guess is "PAT J&W ?? 1878" and on the other, "JAN 9.1877" but it could be almost anything.
Thanks very much

You did right well.

I told the estate sale guy okay, as long as tool box itself is free.  I promised my wife I wouldn't buy another tool box.

General Discussion / $10 Estate Sale Buy 04/26/2025

I picked up a Leatherman Micra in like new condition for $1.  All I had was a $10 to pay.  I had decided to leave the toolbox, because I don't need another toolbox and it didn't appear to be worth $20.  They offered to sell me the toolbox and the Micra for $10, so I  brought it home.  My $10 estate sale buy includes: Snap-On, Craftsman, Proto, Boker, Nichols, Williams, S-K, and others.  Best part may be the 1/2 six point Craftsman combination wrench, to fill in an empty spot in my set.
