Things were slower back then, a few years is not much time...

1916 issues of Automobile Dealer & Repairer in fact have advertisments for Both ratchet sets..
It is quite likely they were aware of each other's inventions...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Thanks for posting the ad Rusty. I've been calling the ratchet from the K&S set as Hexall in error.

I am interested in purchasing a K & S (Kolb & Sedgley) or a Sedgley Hexall soctet set if I'm able.  I am researching the R F Sedgley story.
