Funky old hacksaw made in Germany

Found this hacksaw today, will adjust to use a blade from 10 to 14 inches long. No manufacturer name, unless DRGM? means something. But it's usable and cool!

DRGM stands for Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster (German: German Reich Registered Design)
1891-1945 (but some still used it till 1951)

How is it to cut with? looks a little awkward to use compared to something like a Millers Falls

Haven't cut with it yet. I set it up with a 32 TPI blade, to complement my Klien (18TPI) and my Wardsmaster (24 TPI). Soon as I need to cut some hard steel, we'll find out. Though I can already say the tightening rings are too small and hard to get really tight.

Nice hacksaw.

At one time, all hardware stores carried hacksaw blades in 10" and 12"; good hardware stores would even carry them in 8", if I recall correctly. though I could be misremembering.  To my surprise, you can still get 10" blades; but I sure don't see them on the shelves in retail stores.
