You know , karma  (is that how you spell that?.... what does that even mean?) can come back to bite you in the ass!!!!  I just had to say that..... it felt good!!! I'm just kidding.  Anyhow, we both missed the boat----  you listened to me for a while "read my ramblings, ect."  And, I didn't jump off the boat when I should have!  So, I guess we're even.  Although, in all seriousness, (being serious) is not my strong point,  would love to know you better.  After all, anyone that can tell me....." What the hell?....  I just read all of this for nothin'"...  yeah, well, you know the rest of the story.
I'm glad you "could not help" yourself, when it came down to reading my ramblings.  I play a lot of music, and I'd love to have   even the smallest trace of  Johnny Cash, the Carters, Stanley Brothers , Osbornes,  or the Watsons.... in my blood.
Well, I guess that would be something.
I suppose sometimes you have to settle for nothing. I suppose that's part of life. .... I'm learning as I go along. I'm glad I don't have kids.  I haven't figured out anything involved with actually "living life" yet. So, I'm glad I don't have to be a role model for someone else..... that would be a true tragedy!

And so, for now, I'll go work in my wood shop some more, I'll not think about politics, I'll not think about anything but shaping the pieces of walnut that I'm working on. I'm pretty sure that's the right way to live life for me
cheers, bird

I'm not sure why I can't seem to get things done in advance.

Let's face it.  If it weren't for the last minute, an awful lot of things would never get done.

In another of your posts, you asked if karma were the right spelling of the word.  It is.  Once you get past all the mystical gobbledegook around it, karma is a nice, simple, and useful little Sanskrit word.  It just means action.  It understands that our actions (and inactions) have consequences.  John Hartford wrote a song (can't remember the title anymore) that sums it up.  Or the Beatle's song with the line "Had it been another day, I might have looked the other way, and I'd have never been aware, but as it is I'll dream of her tonight."

In 1985, I designed and directed a social program to provide refugee carpenters with a set of the tools of their trade and a way to showcase their skills.  It lasted one year.   I met some of the finest hand carpenters in the world, and also some other local folks, and went to work in 1986 with a couple of millwrights.  The millwrights introduced me to collecting Stanley tools, and 25 years later, I joined Tool Talk.

Karma.
