Brace with GOLD SEAL as the only marking

 Found this at my favorite flea market a couple of weeks ago and just got around to cleaning it up. Looked like an older STANLEY to me but in searching out the markings on it all I found on it is the name GOLD SEAL in the same area on the frame where you typically find the makers name. NOTHING else is marked on it anywhere. Anyone out there recognize GOLD SEAL and who produced it? Internet search produced zip. TIA for your help.
