Brown's Auction
« on: November 02, 2011, 08:24:55 AM »
In spite of the strom this past weekend I did manage to get to the Brown's Antique Tool Auction in Camp Hill PA. Always an interesting time seeing the whole realm of antique tools. One lot that I was watching really surprised me. The lot was all H. D. Smith items. draw knife, ball pein hammer, hatchet with a hammer head, 3 way screw driver the one with the little wings on the side of the blade, triple lever screw driver the one with the split handle and wing nut to adjust the handles and the blade, 6 inch crescent style wrench, 6 inch monkey wrench, regular screw driver either 8 or 10 inches long with the square shaft, and a hard rubber handled screw driver about 6 inches long. The hard rubber handled screw driver had the H. D. Smith name molded into the handle. The total package of 9 pieces sold for a nice neat price of $600.00 plus buyers premium and tax.

That rubberized screwdriver has been on my want list for a long time.
