Can anyone help me identify this old wrench found in my grandfathers toolbox?

That's an alligator wrench, as to age and manufacturer I don't know but others on this site can probably   help you out.

are there any markings on that wrench ???    numbers or letters ???

It has a large "3" near the jaws of the tool.  Cleaning the tool further I found "Rock Island Lines" on the handle.  My grandfather worked for international harvester at the rock island, IL plant.  Maybe the tool is related to working on the railroad?

#5
#3 alligator wrench, and they were made by several manufacturers. The RR marking increases the sale value if you find a buyer interested in that RR.
Here is one I have- #3 Roebling

i wouldn't be surprised if you found a W in a diamond shape on that wrench cavin722.
Sometimes it is hard to see.
