Mr. Kyle

I picked up a what I believe to be a 3 pound hammer at a yard sale recently.  I started cleaning it on the wire wheel tonight to remove the rust and it appears to have "SKOOKUM"  marked on one end and the number "3" on the other end of it. (I have to admit though, the "S" is barely noticeable though)  Has anyone heard of this make and is there any value to it?  No designs could be made out on it other than POSSIBLE on the side of the hammer, dead center on one side, a series of vertical and straight small divots.  This may be a design or previous owner use/marking/abuse.  Any info one can share is appreciated.  THANK YOU!
