hello, I have a plane iron with the name BRIDGE in script, has anyone heard of this company, thank you

Roger Smith in his PTAMPIA lists Bridge Tool Co as maker of second quality planes for Shapleigh Hardware Co. Have seen some of their tools but not planes so cannot verify if this is their trademark but assume it is.

Bridge Tool co did make planes, there are examples around the net, but the logo doesn't match...:(
Bridge City tool co also makes planes, but the logo doesn't match either.
No luck finding a registration for the trademark....
A hardware store brand is always a possibility tho...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

BRIDGE TOOL CO. ST. LOUIS U.S.A. appears as a stamped marking on wrenches --  in straight letters -- not in this script style on the examples I have in my "electronic memory."

There was a Power tool manufacturer called Bridges that used a similar cursive script to the Bridge mark on the plane...

Note later this firm became Stanley Bridges, part of the Stanley plane group (not sure if it was the US Plane & Level Co, or the UK firm - these tools were well known in the UK c 1950/1960...

Update, they were a UK based firm...

1961 Stanley Works (Great Britain) purchased all of the shares in the company from John Brown and others

Probably just a coincidence that they had a similar name and a similar cursive script logo
