Craftsman Quick Wrench
« on: March 17, 2019, 04:05:21 PM »
Never intended to buy a set of these, but at an auction yesterday nobody was bidding, so for $7.00 I picked them up.  They seem to work okay as long as the first loosing and final tightening is done with the box end.  One of those novelties that no one buys that will be worth a mint in a 100 years or so.  They are made in the USA.

I have some Snap-on ratcheting open end RS series. The ratcheting open end design was in use by Snap-on since the 40's and works quite well. There is a bit of a learning curve but it is not a gimmick, at least in my experience.

Craftsman played around with several different open end designs over the years and I've never used any of them so can't speak to how well they work.
All my taste is in my tools.
