Hello, I'm glad to have found this forum. I love wrenches of any kind, but my special pursuit is collecting tools supplied in new vehicle tool kits.
At this time I'm trying to ID a logo that reads like "cMp".  It appears here in pics of a hub cap wrench (?) and a HURD spare tire lock.  I scoured the web (incl. "Alloy artifacts" site) but no luck. "cMp" or "dMb"(?) must be the Forge that created the pictured tools.
Ultimately I hope to find the application for the wrench but hope to ID maker for now. Thank you.

That may be casting rather than being forged.

Yes, a "casting" company. Thank you.
The HURD spare tire lock was popular during the mid to late 1930's I believe. The mystery logo must have represented a fairly large operation.
