Hello I tied to buy just the Star Nail Cup, but the seller insisted on keeping everything together, which made sense. So I bought the whole thing, found a buyer, made a deal at break even on the cost, with me keeping the Nail Cup. All in a day's work!!!  Regards, Lou

Is this what you take with you when you walk over to the neighbor's place on a holiday, when the hardware store is closed, to ask if you can borrow a cup of nails?

That's pretty nifty.

lptools

Hello, Bill. Thanks!! The neighbors usually come here to borrow that cup of nails, or wrenches, or planes etc., etc. Regards, Lou

So now you'll have a way to measure out the nails!

We had a neighbor across the street whose son would regularly stop over to borrow this and that, not having known what projects she needed done on the house until he got there.  I was always happy to oblige: she was a good neighbor.

As a seller, it makes no sense for me to try to keep anything together.  It is a buyers market.  It is hard to sell whole sets of just about anything; especially made up sets of stuff that just generally goes together but does not have to go together.

Hello, wvtools. Well, it was a Sewing Machine from a shoe repair shop . The lot included lasts , heels and cleats, leather tools, and the nail cup probably sat on the shoemaker's table. It worked for me, my cost, some heavy lifting from the basement, ( alone again, naturally) and I ended up with piece that I wanted!!! Regards, Lou

Lp,

My point, which I did not make very clearly, was that I would just have sold you whatever you wanted, and not tried to keep the lot together.

Hello, wvtools. I agree with you, when I have a sale ,everything is for sale, together or not!!!. The tools belonged to the family, so I imagine there were sentimental reasons for them not seeing them separated. Regards, Lou

More people would make the world a better place by jumping from a high place rather than taking an assault rifle to a theatre/concert/church/store/school.
Better yet, instead of taking a life, they should get a life.
